Section Head
Prof. Douglas Kunda, Vice Chancellor of DMI-St. Eugene University, holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of York, UK. A renowned ICT expert, he serves on the Bank of Zambia Board and has held key leadership roles at ZCAS and Mulungushi Universities. His research focuses on AI, IoT, software engineering, and data mining, with over 80 publications and an h-index of 19. He also chairs major ICT conferences and leads Zambia’s digital transformation and education technology initiatives.

Dr. J. Arockia Venice, B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D. is the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs) at DMI–St. Eugene University, Lusaka, Zambia. With over two decades of academic and administrative experience across India, Zambia, Malawi, and Tanzania, he has contributed significantly to higher education, distance learning, and ICT development. He previously served as Registrar, Assistant Director, Head of Department, and Lecturer, demonstrating strong leadership in academic planning, curriculum development, and student progression.
Dr. Venice holds a Ph.D. in Software Engineering, specializing in database security. He has published research articles in reputed international journals, including Scopus-indexed works, and has presented papers in global conferences. His expertise spans software engineering, data mining, networking, and e-learning systems. He is also a member of several international professional bodies and actively promotes research, innovation, and academic excellence.
Rev. Sr. Dr. Rani Jacob, Director RMA, DMISEU, Lusaka, Zambia. Rev. Sr. Dr. Rani Jacob belong to the Society of Daughters of Mary Immaculate (DMI), serves as the Director of Resource Management and Administration (RMA) at DMI–St. Eugene University, Zambia. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and has wide experience in academic leadership, administration, and research. Her primary area of expertise lies in image processing, particularly in advanced computational techniques and real world applications. She has served in the education mission for more than 15 years in Malawi and India contributing immensely to the growth and empowerment of students and institutions. A dedicated scholar and mentor with a strong missionary zeal, Rev. Sr. Dr. Rani Jacob has significantly contributed to numerous research publications, academic projects, and institutional initiatives. Through her commitment to innovation, quality education, and holistic development, she continues to play a pivotal role in fostering academic excellence, enhancing institutional efficiency, and inspiring a culture of research, technological advancement, faith and service in the university community.
Dr. J. Esther, Ph.D. in Computer Science, is Dean and Senior Lecturer at DMI–St. Eugene University, Lusaka, with 20+ years in higher education, research, and leadership. Expert in AI, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, IoT, Cloud Computing, and Data Mining, she has authored books, SCOPUS-indexed papers, and holds patents in AI and IoT. Recognized with multiple awards, she has supervised 100+ research projects, delivered international keynotes, and actively contributes to academic evaluation, research, and innovation.

Dr. Lukumba Phiri, Ph.D. (Engineering, University of Zambia), is a Senior Lecturer and Vice-Chancellor at the Information and Communications University. He is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa, focusing on energy performance modeling using machine learning. His expertise spans energy efficiency, AI, cybersecurity, and smart grids. A respected educator and researcher, he has led major engineering projects and contributed to advancing real-time and digital systems research.

Dr. Vincent Antony Kumar is a professor and head of the Information Technology Department at PSNA College of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul, India. He has published 41 research papers in international journals and conferences, focusing on areas such as network optimization, wireless sensor networks, and cloud computing. His scholarly work has earned him a Google Scholar H-index of 18, with over 1189 citations, reflecting the significant impact of his research contributions. Dr. Kumar is known for his expertise in advanced IT topics and actively engages in both academic leadership and research innovation at PSNA College.

Prof. Mary Immaculate Sheela Lourdusamy, Ph.D., is Professor and Head of Computing and Engineering at Heritage Christian University College, Ghana. With over 25 years of teaching and research experience, she has served in Ghana, Ethiopia, and India. Her research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, and Data Encryption. She has guided five Ph.D. scholars, published over 57 papers in reputed journals, and authored textbooks in computer science.

Dr. C. Maria Ugin Joseph is an accomplished educationist with 28 years of experience, including 25 in Teacher Education. Holding a Ph.D. in Education, he has guided 38 M.Ed. dissertations, supervises 5 Ph.D. scholars, and evaluated 4 doctoral theses. He has presented papers in 16 conferences, published 26 journal articles, 4 book chapters, and authored a book. His teaching spans Educational Psychology, Guidance, Educational Technology, Inclusive Education, and Teacher Methodology courses, reflecting his expertise in pedagogy, research, and mentorship.

Dr. Vincent Chiyongo is a Lecturer and PhD Supervisor in the Department of Postgraduate Studies and Research at DMI St. Eugene University, Lusaka. Formerly Dean of the Faculty of Education (2014–2021), he has extensive experience as Chief Education Officer, Director of Teacher Education, school principal, and teacher trainer. He holds a PhD in Education Management (UNISA) and multiple postgraduate qualifications. Dr. Chiyongo is an author, researcher, conference presenter, and serves on advisory boards and as an external examiner internationally, specializing in Teacher Education, Education Management, and School Leadership.
Dr. Faustine Kabaso Salamu is a Senior Lecturer and Research Fellow at DMI St. Eugene University, Zambia, holding a PhD in Educational Leadership & Administration and multiple degrees in education and linguistics. With over 46 years in teaching, administration, and leadership roles, his expertise spans English, Soft Skills, Business Communication, Linguistics, Curriculum Development, and Educational Administration. A registered Teaching Council member, counsellor, and author of three higher education textbooks, he continues postgraduate research.

Dr. Godfrey Mpundu Sekula (Ph.D., MBA, MDV, B.Phil) is Projects and Grants Director for the Diocese of Kabwe. He serves on procurement and advisory boards and as an external examiner across leading Zambian universities. His research interests include leadership, economic development, and management, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and international presentations. Dr. Sekula is a member of the Economics Association of Zambia and engages actively in academic mentorship and community leadership.

Dr. N. Sankara Nayagam is a Senior Lecturer at DMI–St. Eugene University, Zambia, with over 13 years of academic experience in Commerce and Management. He holds a Ph.D. in Commerce and has evaluated Ph.D. theses for other universities. He has published and presented several research papers in international journals and conferences, specializing in Accounting, financial management, Entrepreneurship, human resource management, and research methodology, with a strong commitment to academic excellence.

Dr. R. Sakthivel is the Registrar of DMI–St. Eugene University, Zambia, with over 15 years of teaching and research experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Plant Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Madras and has published 38 papers, 30 GenBank submissions, one patent, and five books. His research focuses on biofuel production from microalgae. A recipient of multiple international awards, Dr. Sakthivel also serves on several university committees and editorial boards, contributing extensively to academic leadership and innovation.

Dr. Anbu Megala Murugesan is an experienced researcher and educator with over 4 years in plant biotechnology and pest management. She holds a PhD in transgenic peanut development for micronutrient enhancement and has published 10 peer-reviewed articles. Her roles include UGC-BSR Fellow-India, Senior Research Fellow in IPM-CRSP South Asia, and in the Department of Biotechnology-India focusing on plant reproductive biology and phytochemicals, demonstrating her commitment to sustainable agriculture.
Dr. C. Ramalakshmi is an accomplished academic with 16 years of experience in teaching and research. She has published 17 research papers and successfully guided 20 B.Sc. and 12 M.Sc. students. In addition, she has managed academic and research projects, demonstrating expertise in mentoring, project handling, and contributing significantly to the advancement of her field.

Dr. S. Balamurugan, Ph.D. in Physics from Bharathidasan University, is Dean of Sciences & Humanities and Associate Professor at DMI–St. Eugene University, Zambia. With over 30 years in teaching, research, and academic leadership, he has held roles including Director of Higher Education and Head of Department in India. His research on crystal structures, nanomaterials, and applied physics includes 23 international publications. He actively contributes to academic policy, quality assurance, and student development initiatives.

Dr. S. Elangovan, Associate Professor of Physics at Wollega University, Ethiopia, specializes in Condensed Matter Physics and Material Science. He has made significant contributions through his research on material properties, molecular interactions, and nanomaterials, authoring over 40 publications in reputable international journals. His scholarly work has impacted both fundamental and applied physics fields, and he has been recognized nationally and internationally. Dr. Elangovan is actively involved in teaching, mentoring, and fostering interdisciplinary research collaborations. Dr. K. Emmanuel is Director of Research, Senior Lecturer, and PhD Supervisor at DMI–St. Eugene University, Zambia, with seven years’ teaching and counselling experience. He holds a PhD in Social Work, a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Population Studies from IIPS Mumbai, and multiple postgraduate degrees. Author of Unspoken Cues, he has 15+ publications (Scopus, CARE, peer-reviewed). His research focuses on alcohol, tobacco, mental health, domestic violence, and public health.

Dr. Wilkins Ndege Muhingi, Ph.D., is an award-winning Senior Researcher and Lecturer at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), ranked second in Kenya in Social Work by the AD Scientific Index 2026. His research focuses on child safeguarding, gender-based violence, indigenization of social work, and climate change. He has co-authored books with Springer and Routledge. Dr. Muhingi also serves as East Africa Regional Representative of the Association for Schools of Social Work in Africa and coordinates examinations at JKUAT.
